Freediving Photography Taster

Freediving Photography Taster- 1 Day

Are you a freediver with a passion for the underwater world? Perhaps you’re already taking some images or have never held a camera in your hands? The great news is that we’re lucky to live in a city where getting in the water is easily accessible. I find myself going freediving early in the morning,  before I open my underwater photography shop; and the last two years have seen my freediving photography exponentially grow.

If you look at general social media you will see absolutely incredible photos; believe me when I tell you that these images can be achieved in a breathhold, with the right tools (no, it doesn’t have to be an expensive camera!) and some dedication. Join me for a one day taster where we will be in the classroom to learn the process, followed by a dive at one of our local beaches.

This course is for you if:

  • You are complete novice or would like to make the move from auto to manual mode

  • You’re thinking of buying a system but are unsure of what

  • You’re thinking of upgrading your system with lights or strobes; you can try our demo options

  • You want to improve your composition and ambient light use

  • You want to understand behaviour and photography etiquette

  • You have a regular buddy and want to get them in your images

  • You’re a certified freediver

  • You want to learn the basics of post- processing*

Day 1

Workbook: please allow enough time to complete this prior to the course.

If you don’t own a camera contact us for rental options or guidance in getting your own setup, we have a great selection at our store.

* If you would like to add a post processing session, we can arrange that as an add on to your course.
