Securely attached via bayonet mount there are many accessories available for the new Retra Flash. The most prominent is the LSD Ultimate. With a super powerful centrally positioned pilot light you will be able to find your light spot even in very bright conditions. The Retra Flash and LSD Ultimate are made for each other.

A TESTING REGIME WORTH NOTING

Over the course of development a combined total of more than 1,4 million test shots were made with prototype and pre-production units of the new Retra Flash. We were looking for failure in every condition and pushing the material to it's limits. The final result is a product that can withstand anything the photographer asks from it. DOUBLE O-RING AND LEAKAGE DETECTION

The new Retra Flash is the world's only underwater flashgun with a built-in leakage detector (patent pending technology). In the unlikely event of a battery compartment flood you will be notified by the Retra Flash to check the battery compartment at your earliest convenience. Our goal is to reach a 0% statistic in damage resulting from battery compartment flooding.

DESIGN YOUR LIGHT WITHOUT BOUNDARIES

With the bayonet mount your Retra Flash can be transformed into a specialist lighting tool. Diffusers for blue water, green water and a special diffuser for sharks are available. For macro work there are several options to reduce the angle of the light beam. Secure mounting is the way.

The Light Shaping Device is made for your underwater flash.

The Light Shaping Device (LSD) works like a projector which takes light from your flash and pilot light to create a beam with a sharp image at the focus distance. The LSD uses elements like a lens, mask and a diffuser to generate the light beam.

It's easy to use even on your first dive!

By turning on the pilot light you can see accurately how the image will appear before you press the shutter button. This way you can quickly find the right position for your LSD and start shooting.

Illuminate two spots with the double hole mask.

Illuminating two spots was a mission impossible, with the LSD it's easy! You have to insert the double hole mask and find the right distance between the holes. Positioning is a breeze because you have the pilot light to show you where the projection will be.

Use the LSD for creative lighting.

The strong directional and collimated beam of the LSD is perfect for playing with the position of your flash relative to the subject. Use it for side lighting or back lighting.

Illuminate larger areas in wide angle.

The powerful LSD can also be used for wide angle shots. This is especially interesting once we get closer to the subject.

The LSD is future-proof.

If you change your flash, you only change the mounting module. Every LSD is made from two modules: the Optical tube and the Mounting module. They are connected via four screws and can be exchanged in a few minutes.
