North Stradbroke Island

Tech Expedition

3rd October- 7th October 2025

Depth, sharks, turtles & whales

North Stradbroke Island, also nicknamed ‘Straddie’, is a small subtropical island off the coast of Brisbane, in Queensland. It’s also the world’s second largest sand island where you can experience a diversity of land and ocean wildlife encounters. From koalas, kangaroos, echidnas, wallabies and other land animals to fevers of rays, sharks, groupers and whales migrating north. This island will not disappoint you.

Most of our diving will be done between 30 to 40m and we will be visiting dive sites such as Roaring Deep and Flat Rock. If the weather cooperates we will be able to visit Seven Reef; this dive site is very exposed and can reach depth of 45-50m; it’s a great DPV site with massive pinnacles and big sharks. The whole dive operation is an adventure, starting with their unusual yet exciting boat launch!
