Dive the mating place of tiger sharks
When we thought we had peaked in 2023 with our Socorro and Red Sea trips, we did not see this one coming! We scoured the ocean to find you an adventure of epic proportions, and this one will not disappoint.
We are renown for loving big fish, endless landscapes and for bringing something out of the ordinary and Fuvahmulah is just that. Located in the southern part of Maldives, it’s a paradise slowly being discovered. It offers an incredible thrilling experience that combines adventure, awe-inspiring encounters with marine life and the opportunity to witness the beauty of an untouched underwater ecosystem. Its unique underwater topography attracts a variety of pelagic and shark species, including thresher, hammerhead, whale sharks and giant oceanic mantas. Fuvahmulah is also the only known mating place for tiger sharks in the world, with a healthy population of over 300 individuals.
The pristine coral reefs surrounding Fuvahmulah are also home to a diverse range of marine life, like colourful tropical fish, turtles and oceanic white tip sharks, adding to the overall richness of the experience.
To top this fascinating escapade, we have added two days in Colombo, Sri Lanka, including a visit to an elephant sanctuary and cultural sightseeing.
Fuvamulah and Sri Lanka
Our trip starts in Fuvahmulah, Maldives, a beautiful small island with a submerged reef extending for about 3km. Located below the zero degree equator in the Indian ocean, this island is also a UNESCO protected biosphere reserve. Unlike any other island or atoll, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Maldivian culture since this island has a population of 13,000.
We will be diving three times per day over five days, including the tiger shark dives and enjoying the accommodation at the Zero Degree Residence.
